Planetary reducer is also known as planetary gear reducer, is a kind of gear reducer, planetary reducer uses planetary gears to achieve the deceleration effect, the principle is the same as gear reducer.

Planetary reducer is a widely used industrial product, the reducer is small in size, light in weight, high in carrying capacity, long in service life, smooth in operation and low in noise. It has the characteristics of power shunt and multi-tooth meshing for exclusive use. The maximum input power can reach 104kW, which is suitable for lifting and transportation, engineering machinery, metallurgy, mining, petrochemical industry, construction machinery, light industry and textile, medical equipment, instruments, automobiles, ships, weapons and aerospace and other industrial sectors.

The cylindrical gears evenly distributed around the planetary reducer move around a concentric circle between the inner gears and outer gears, and the cyclic motion of the cylindrical gears is similar to the orbit of the planets in the solar system.

Planetary reducers are widely used in servo, stepper, DC and other drive systems because of their small size, high transmission efficiency, wide range of deceleration, high precision and many other advantages. Planetary reducer reduction ratio is usually between 3~10, the number of reducer stages is generally not more than 3, but there are some large reduction ratio customized reducer has 4 stages of reduction. Planetary gearbox precision can be achieved within 1 point, with single-stage transmission efficiency of 97% to 98%.
